Opening, expanding or fitting out a practice means building the whole technology stack — wiring, network, server, workstations, dental software, imaging, backups and security — and having all of it working on the first day you see patients.
One team for the whole build
Most new practices end up coordinating an electrician, a low-voltage cabling contractor, an IT company and a software vendor, then discovering at go-live that nobody owned the gaps between them. We do the technology build end to end, so there are no gaps to own.
What we cover
Cabling and low voltage
- Low-voltage data cabling — runs to operatories, treatment rooms, front office and server location
- Cable termination, labelling and patching to a documented standard
- Audio system wiring and installation
- Monitor and TV prep work and installation — mounting, routing and termination ready for the screens to go up
Server and workstations
- Physical server selection, installation and storage configuration
- Workstations specified and staged per operatory and per role
- Printing, scanning and peripheral setup
Network
- Network design and switching, including dental workgroup requirements
- Wi-Fi for staff and guests, kept separate
- Firewall and remote access configured properly from day one
Dental software installation and configuration
We install, configure and integrate the practice software you have chosen, including:
- Open Dental
- Carestream Dental
- Dentrix
- DEXIS
- XDR
- DataCon
- Eaglesoft
- TDO Endo
- Schick
- SIDEXIS
Installed and then verified working with the imaging sensors and practice management database together, not each checked in isolation.
Imaging integration
Carestream Dental and other imaging systems installed, calibrated and verified against the practice management software — so images land in the correct chart on the first attempt. Includes RVG sensor installation.
Security and backup
- Encrypted, automated backups with test restores performed, not assumed
- Huntress managed EDR with 24/7 human threat hunting
- Access controls, patching and workstation hardening
- Documentation suitable for your HIPAA risk assessment
Go-live
Everything tested together before the first patient: imaging, charting, printing, backups, phones, audio and displays. Then handover with documentation your team can actually use.
Worth deciding at build stage
Treatment-room and waiting-area displays, audio, monitor mounting and cable routing are far cheaper during a fit-out than as a retrofit into a finished operatory. Legacy VGA cabling in particular is worth replacing with HDMI — including fibre HDMI for long runs — before the walls close up.
Coverage
New practice builds and physical installation are onsite work: the San Francisco Bay Area plus any practice within roughly a four-hour drive. Ongoing managed support is available remotely across California, Nevada and Arizona, with backup and cybersecurity available nationwide.
